Human consciousness

M.Y. Myaniye

Everything, which concerns the nature of consciousness, the principles of its formation and possibilities of the development attracts the interest of many people and presents one of the key issues in religion, science and esoterics. The reasons of so close attention to this issue are in many cases obvious, the main of them being the following: the knowledge of the performance mechanisms as well as of the principles of its transformations gives one a key to the achievement of the maximum force, based on the purposeful development of internal aptitudes and abilities of effective interaction with people and the world around. That stipulates the object of this monograph – to present systematically the basic concepts of esoteric practical-philosophical system «The development of the human» concerning consciousness.

The knowledge of this system makes the Whole and covers the answers to the main questions about the human, the world around and Cosmos philosophy vital for the successful advance along the Light Hierarchy. This knowledge is meant for the most appropriate transfer of the human to the next steps of the development, however, they used to be inaccessible and unknown to the mass audience. To understand the reasons why this information has been transferred, the particular features and advantages of this system, we shall consider a number of issues, among them the role of esoterics in general system of knowledge and the tendencies of its transformation.

1. The place of esoterics in general system of the knowledge about the world

All the knowledge created by the humanity may be divided into three main types: religious, scientific and esoteric. Each of the types is based on its own notions, ideas, is directed to the certain circle of people and dominates at a corresponding period. Here is their concise description.

Religion is a system of knowledge about the world, based mainly on revelations, faith, prayers, worshipping authorities, saints and sacred objects or places. It dominates at the initial stages of the development of the society, along with the power stipulates the norms of the people’s life, and forms their thinking through passing an intelligible knowledge of the God, subtle world, consciousness, etc.

Science is a system of knowledge mainly about the material world, based on logic, practical ability to be confirmed and experiment. During the period of its rapid development it is engaged in the warfare with religion and partially occupies its place in terms of its influence on the society describing the regularities of this world through physical laws and human relations through psychology. However, notwithstanding its great success, the science failed to answer a number of the most important questions and to bring people to the new level of spirituality, that is why religion explains the issues, which are beyond the competence of science – these are the issues of higher powers, the soul, aspirations and many others.

Esoterics is a system of the knowledge about the human and the methods of his purposeful abilities development (from elementary skills to the level of siddhs), the society, the God, phenomenalized and unphenomenalized worlds. It is based on higher than science levels of logic, requirements of continuous development (perfection) of its adepts and achieving the level of direct perception of the world through opening one’s superabilities. It has always existed along with the religion but because of the complexity of the concepts and high demands to its adepts has been meant for the narrow, strictly limited circle of its followers. Esoteric knowledge gives to the human the maximum strength, and right now that the general level of people has considerably grown, and that the religion and science are unable to cope with the problems of the society, the necessity of this knowledge has grown crucially.

2. The problems of the society and growing

influence of esoteric knowledge

Besides the great number of commonly known problems, there are some, the understanding of which is possible just for the chosen. First of all, this is the fact that people by the moment have worked out such a great amount of negative energies that it threatens the very existence of the Earth. To prevent its destruction, the Cosmos in cases of emergency imposes urgent measures, which was the reason of the downfall of the previous civilizations. That is the reason why at present many esoteric forces are orientated towards the prevention of the possible global catastrophe, which is achieved by education and other ways of neutralizing the negative energy, information and negative phenomena caused by them.

The main internal reason of such a condition is a low level of the development of people, which leads to the automatic transformation of the creative energy of the human activity into the destructive one. Unfortunately,Krishna’s words pronounced thousands of years ago still remain true, «Out of thousands of people there is hardly one who strives for perfection. And out of the ones striving and having achieved it there is hardly one who reaches Me.» To change this situation in the society there is a necessity to form the understanding of general tendencies of the human development, the levels of the development, and the criteria of his abilities estimation, in which esoterics should play the leading role.

However, external problems hinder the solution of the mentioned one – absence of communication among positive religious, scientific and esoteric forces. The issue of creating their union was debated many times but still stays open. Should it have been solved, besides the other troubles, the two latest world wars could have been avoided. The solution of this problem might be started from the unification of esoteric systems, since due to their flexibility and the level of the knowledge they possess more than any other systems are they oriented towards an open positive cooperation.

3. Esoteric philosophic and practical system

«Development of the human»

The system is initially created as one of the ways to solve the above-mentioned problems through the development of the principally new level of knowledge and the synthesis of the most powerful positive theories. It presents the logical development of religion, science and esoterics, applies all the accessible possibilities, but in many respects it is different in terms of its doctrines, objects, tasks and methods of implementation. Forming the knowledge of the system takes place through the communication with the representatives of the Light Hierarchy, through the use of energetic techniques of observation and attachment to informational spaces, through logical methods of the synthesis of thoughts and ideas and experimental verification of their plausibility.

The basic internal object of the system is the most effective complex (spiritual, intellectual, energetic) development of the human level by level and his training for socially significant roles (investigator, teacher, coordinator). This object is pursued on the basis of the development of one’s own syllabi and methods of education, the creation of an appropriate educational structure of the new type to consider all the factors, which influence the formation of the consciousness, energetics and body of the human. The principles of the formation of the syllabi and methods of development are based on the selection of the most efficient techniques of the development and the compellation of only plausible information, which may be verified by the adepts.

The basic external object of the system is the development of the theoretical background for unification of religion, science and esoterics to eliminate contradictions among them. This is one of the most topical modern problems, the crucial complexity of which is testified by the fact that notwithstanding a great number of attempts, this way has not been gone through yet. Its solution is possible only at the new level of knowledge, which will be able to dominate in esoterics and science in terms of its logic and practical results.

4. The review of the basic approaches to the research of consciousness

To understand the significance and advantages of the present paper, one should consider the approaches to consciousness, which exist in religion, esoterics and science. In religion, the issues of consciousness are given much attention, however, it does not explain the structure and practical mechanisms of its function, this is the reason why it yields to science and esoterics in terms of explanation of the conscious development of abilities (energetic and intellectual). Science usually approaches consciousness from the point of view of physiology and the possibility of mathematic modeling, which allowed it to succeed in intellectual area, but gave a rise to technocratic culture.

In esoterics the knowledge of energetic construction of consciousness was described thousands of years ago, its level and plausibility may be judged at least by the abilities, demonstrated by its followers. Yet this knowledge is not complete too, since, first, the efficiency of its application is far from ideal, secondly, there is a number of questions, to which esoterics has not given an answer yet. There are the following to name as the basic ones: the nature and the structure of energy (the notion «energy» is used in all esoteric systems), presentation of information in consciousness (structure of thoughts and images), detailed construction and functions of chakras, energetic and logical mechanisms of the consciousness performance, and some others.

Some of these questions are answered in this book. They are highly plausible, however, their certain correction is supposed as the system may develop. In its terms the basic requirements to the information are the following: 1.Meeting the logical criteria of truth (being complete, non-contradictive and grounded) 2. Description at the level of energetic structures (practical realizing mechanisms) 3. Practical value and plausibility (possibility of an experiment, working out the development techniques).

5. Structure of the monograph and the work on the information

To understand the essence of the human consciousness one should answer the following most important questions: «What is the nature and mechanisms of consciousness performance?», «How is it formed, developed, classified?» and finally, «How can it be purposefully transformed?» This stipulates the structure of the monograph. Chapter 1 «Mechanisms of the consciousness performance» presents the description of the construction and regularities of the function of consciousness at energetic and informational levels and makes the key to understanding all the other questions. Chapter 2 “Stages of consciousness development” allow to compose an esoteric system of estimation of people and to understand the reason of individual differences among them. Chapter 3 “The ways of purposeful consciousness development» describes the tendencies and laws of the development, as well as the nature, classification and basic principles of the development techniques.

For the concise and comprehendible description of such a complex phenomenon as the human consciousness a special format of narration, which can be considered to be a modern modification of classic sutras has been worked out. The sutra format is traditional for spiritual literature and has an undisputable advantage of being laconic in rendering the gist. It also requires a special way of work on the text, described by Patanjali, who said that reading the veritable spiritual literature should be followed by one’s own reflections, satisfaction and joy.

The reflections are necessary for the development of the consciousness and extending its performance through the formation of the skill of deeper understanding of information, which is achieved through the application to one’s own experience and the knowledge already possessed. Satisfaction and joy are the basic criteria of the positiveness of the decisions made and the ideas created, since the right knowledge gives to the human an obvious force. If the opposite emotions emerge, it is advisable to put the book aside for a while. So do not hurry to read it, instead try to understand it better, if not completely, then at least its gist. I hope, in this case you will manage to touch upon the state of the truth understanding as well as did the author creating this book.

The human consciousness is one of the most complex, puzzling and the most interesting objects at least among the existing on the Earth, being the focus of attention of philosophers, scientists, mystics and many other people. Science has invested many milliards of dollars in the consciousness investigation, and though its success lies beyond any doubt, it failed to explain and model its most important processes, such as creation, intuition, feelings and many others. In esoterics the understanding of consciousness is much closer to the truth, which is testified by fantastic abilities of yogs, u-shu masters and representatives of some other systems. However, this knowledge is not complete, since the few reach the perfection, and the complete understanding of consciousness should give realization to any person, who sincerely trod on the way of cognition and development. So, the object of this chapter is to describe the basic mechanisms of the consciousness performance, which is vital for effective development (opening abilities), self-cognition and an ability to control one’s internal world.

Within this topic we will consider the following issues: general energetic building of the human (necessary to define the role of the consciousness), basic mechanisms of the consciousness performance (the components of the consciousness, their interaction and the mode of performance), the intellect (the controlling part of the consciousness, information processing), the spirituality (the perceiving part of the consciousness, the memory performance), the will (the realizing part of the consciousness, conscious and automatic systems control). The human receives the key to self-reformation only on condition that he starts understanding the regularities according to which his thoughts, images and internal efforts influence the mechanisms of his own consciousness performance and manifestations.

The human is often called the King of the Nature, the most perfect creature of the Earth and this is mainly right and not only at the physical level, it is even more correct at energetic level. Besides this, his energetic building is much more dynamic and ten times more complex than the building of his body, which gives a rise to the seeming contradictions between the notions of the human in different esoteric systems. So, the object of this chapter is to describe the general building of the human at energetic level, to define the purpose of his main parts and the rules of their interaction. This is also vital for the definition of the role of the consciousness in the human life and understanding the main principles according to which the subtle world influences him.

For this we will consider the following issues: external systems (these are the systems which mainly provide the interaction between the human and the subtle world), the consciousness (responsible for the informational processes, energy accumulation, control on the energy and body), the energetics (responsible for energetic processes, fulfilling orders of the consciousness and providing the body with energy), the body (responsible for fulfilling orders of the consciousness in physical world, allows to accumulate big amounts of energy and develop at an accelerated rate).

1.1. Human

Human is a special creature endowed with big abilities for development, which are inherent in his nature. The destination of the human is the implementation the ideals of the Creator in himself and the world around through development, cognition and service. He consists of the external systems, consciousness, energy and body. His basic characteristics in the subtle world are the general level of development (Ch.2, § 4), statuses (Ch. 3, § 1) and the level of positiveness.

External systems are special energetic systems, given to the human when he is born, and meant for his interaction with the subtle world (the hierarchy of Karma, creatures, systems) and the God. These systems contain about 30% of the energy of the human, control of which is regulated by spiritual laws and may be performed by the human himself, by the consciousnesses of the systems and external forces.

The consciousness is the basic part of the human (as well as of any other creature) meant for controlling his energetics, body and interaction with external systems through the perception of information and energy, their storage, processing, making decisions, and control of their fulfillment. The consciousness contains about 42% of all the energies of the human, their control is performed through thoughts, images and internal efforts.

The energetics is the following by importance part of the human meant for catering for the consciousness performance, fulfilling its orders in the subtle world, energizing the body and transferring it the orders of the consciousness, which is performed through accumulating, storing and transforming energies. The energetics contains about 20% of all the energies of the human, the control on them is performed through the orders of the consciousness, reactions of the body and external influences.

The body is a physical part of the human, giving a possibility to live in the material world, and meant for interaction with this world through fulfilling the orders of the consciousness. The body contains about 8% of all the energies of the human, but due to its inherent features allows to the consciousness and energetics to hold big amounts of energy, which is the basis providing the development at an accelerated rate.

1.2. External systems

External systems are presented as the capsule and the spirit, they are given to the human by Karma (its hierarchy) according to the appropriate spiritual laws in conformation with his level, statuses and other characteristics. The capsule and the spirit are immediate patrons of the human in the subtle world, and when he comes to this world consciously, they are his immediate teachers, most interested in his development.

The capsule is an additional temporary system of the human subjected to Karma and meant for his patronizing (training, protection, encouragement and punishment). It contains about 20% of all energies of the human and consists of its own consciousness, protective membranes, communication systems, its own energies and the place for the spirit. Capsules are classified according to the levels, which stipulate their access to information, energies and their freedom of travelling.

The basic laws of the capsule: 1. Its level should be a grade higher than the highest status of the human himself. 2. The capsule registers all the external and partially internal manifestations of the human, transmitting the information about them to the database of Karma. 3. The capsule influences the human energetically, through creating the situation, transferring thoughts, images and sensations to him. 4. The decision about the influence is made either by Karma (its hierarchy) or by the capsule itself.

The spirit is an additional temporary system of the human, subordinated immediately to the Absolute (Ch. 3, p.5.3.) and meant for the realization of the God’s patronage of the human. It contains about 10% of all the energies of the human and is situated in the upper part of the capsule. The spirit influences the human through transmitting the energy and information to the Spiritual creature, the capsule and chakras of the head. The basic characteristic of the spirit is its level.

The basic laws of the spirit: 1. Its level should be one grade higher than the general level of the human. 2. Conscious interaction with the spirit takes place when the God is addressed and during meditations. 3. The spirit switches on condition that the activity of the human is positive and he implements the Creator’s ideals. 4. The spirit is able to strengthen the human transmitting him its energies. 5. The spirit is able to create and prevent situations through the forestalling receiving of information.

1.3. Consciousness of the human

Consciousness of the human consists of the Spiritual creature, the mediator, the essence, chakras (centres of consciousness, Ch.1, p. 2.2.), communications channels between them, the systems of logical and image-bearing self-suggestion (Ch.3, p. 4.2.). The following 12 chakras belong to the consciousness: atman (the place of dwelling of the Spiritual creature), the intellect chakra, the spiritual chakra, sahasrara, adjna, vishudha, anahata, the chakra of the 13th world, that of essence, manipura, svadhisthana and muladhara.

The spiritual creature is a special part of the consciousness of the human, which is directly connected with the Absolute and formed around the God’s endowment. It is meant for controlling the consciousness and its formation through transmitting the feelings and absolutely new thoughts to the human. The Spiritual creature carries an individual development programme of the human and the information about the laws of our Cosmos. It develops through the development of the human and his soul.

The mediator is a special part of the consciousness meant to provide information exchange between the Spiritual creature and chakras through its (the information) re-coding for the perception of external and internal information through thoughts, images and sensations. The re-coding is necessary since different principles of information presentation are presupposed in the Spiritual creature and chakras. The mediator is mainly perceived through sensations during concentration and contemplation.

The essence is a special part of the human consciousness, which used to be a separate creature (the spirit of a mineral, plant, animal, etc). It is meant for informational and energetic adaptation of consciousness of the human to the life conditions on the Earth and creating his individual features. When the human comes to higher levels of development, he obtains additional essences, which indicates his aptitudes and abilities.

The soul is a part of the consciousness and energy of the human remaining after his physical death. During physical life it presents the human in the subtle world and uses practically all the information, which has been worked out by it during the whole period of its existence. The soul to a great extent predetermines the human development through impending the creation of thoughts (if opposite information is being realized in them) or providing their creation (if similar information is being realized).

1.4. Energetics

Energetics consists of subtle bodies, doubles and other energetic systems of the human (Ch.3, p. 5.2.), each of which has a common general scheme of building: channels, flows, control panels and mechanisms of realization. The consciousness controls the systems through conscious or automatic decision making in chakras and  transmitting required thoughts, images and working energies to the systems.

Channels are energetic conductors (tubes) meant for the transmission of controlling orders (thoughts) from chakras to the required systems (their control panels). Flows are providing energetic systems (membranes and their control) meant for transmitting working energies from chakras and systems of self-suggestion to the required energetic and physical systems.

Controlling panels are a kind of energetic computers meant for controlling mechanisms of realization, through deciphering controlling orders (transferred by the consciousness, capsule, spirit and agregores) and generating internal orders of the system. Mechanisms of realization are very diverse in their forms and functions but they are controlled according to the common principles through thoughts (transformed into internal orders), images and working energies (Ch.3, p.2.3., p.4.3).

Subtle bodies are the basic energetic systems of the human controlled by the chakras corresponding to them and meant for holding free energies, defending the consciousness, attaching other energetic systems, assigning the form to the human in the subtle world and fulfilling other functions. The basic subtle bodies of the human are the following: ethereal, astral, mental, karmic, buddhic, absolute and intellectual.

Energetic systems ultimately realize or provide all the aptitudes of the human, that is the opening of an ability stands for the opening of the system corresponding to it, attaching channels and flows to it  and realizing in chakras the information necessary for the system control. The possibility of opening the system is stipulated by the absence of blocks on it, the general level of development and the energetic potential corresponding to it.

1.5. Body

Body is controlled by the consciousness (its chakras) through channels, flows and energetic systems influencing physical systems both physiologically (through the initiation of nervous impulses, regulation of metabolism and other processes) and energetically (through the working energies, thoughts and images). According to the performed functions the body may be divided into the following parts:  controlling, energizing, realizing and protecting.

Controlling part is meant for protecting the other parts through the perception of the information from the body and physical world, re-coding the information for its further transmission to the consciousness, de-coding the orders of the consciousness and initiating the impulses and reactions corresponding to them. It includes: the systems of perception (vishudha, ether, eyes, ears, etc.); the systems of information processing and orders generating (atman and chakras of the head, the brain as a physiological computer), additional systems (the skull, etc.).

Energizing part is meant for absorbing components (food, air), eliciting physical energy from them and providing the body with it. It includes the systems of fuelling (manipura, fire, internal organs, digestion organs, drawing in the fuel into blood) and the systems providing an oxidant (vishudha, ether; lungs, drawing in an oxidant into blood; anahata, air; heart, distributing energy carriers over the body).

Realizing part is meant for fulfilling the orders of the controlling part (activity in the physical world), through the delivery of the components to their systems and working out energy in them (interaction of fuel and oxidant). It includes: realizing mechanisms (muladhara, earth; loco-motor apparatus – muscles, joints, ligaments, skeleton) and providing systems (svadhisthana, water; urogenital and cardiovascular systems).

Protecting part is meant to block the way for alien substances, objects, etc., to fight with them in case they penetrate and to neutralize other negative influences. It includes:  external protecting systems (manipura, common integuments); internal protecting and some regulating systems (the most of the chakras, immune and other systems).
